2016 lx mileage

I pay no attention to "how many bars for how many miles".....I fill it up, drive it, refill when it's almost empty....and calculate mileage by actually doing the math and not believing the mpg readout (which reads 1 - 2 mpg higher than actual mpg). You're stressing over something that is pretty trivial. Seriously, you scrutinize yer gas gauge bar by bar? It's either full, on it's way down, or nearly empty and time to refill....I've got bigger fish to fry than watching my gas gauge.....just sayin'

Everything I've read the GK is supposed to get better mileage than the GE. Is your maintenance up to snuff? Properly inflated tires? Clean air filter?
I've been getting consistently low to mid 40s MPG, my best so far as been 47MPG.

Yes I just bought the car in July everything is fine, tires, filters etc...

I've tried and I can't find anything mostly the ones I find are the ones I'm looking for answers on.

For those of us with motorcycles, this is a common issue. Most motorcycles have no gas gauge. You either have gas, switched to the reserve part of the same tank, or you are empty.
Gas tanks are very oddly shaped. The gas gauge is probably a linear device. This combination can/will give you very odd readings at the top and bottom of your tank. The Fit's gas tank is under the driver and front passenger area, but your gas filler is at the rear left of your car. The gas goes from the filler area to the tank through a long pipe, which when you fill your tank full, will hold extra gas. This pipe might throw off your gas gauge bars.
I, too, don't put much stock into how long I can drive per gas gauge bar, as I know the relationship is not linear. When I'm close to an empty tank the yellow light goes on and I fill up. This is also when I calculate the exact mileage of the car.
I find my Fit's fuel economy numbers are not very accurate. If my Fit says 6.4L/100km It is probably closer to 6.8L/100km. I do prefer my car's optimism.

I get a consistent 25 kms / gas gauge line. My fuel light comes on at two bars/lines, and the computer estimated range is always just about 50kms, give or take a couple of kms. I usually drive until I run out of lines and then gas up. I always put in about 33 liters, which leaves me plenty until truly emtpy. So I usually get about 450kms/complete set of gas gauge lines.
