2015 Fit EX-L - Can it use 195/55R16 Tires?

My parent have a nice barely used set of Hakkapeliitta tires for a car they sold off, and I am wondering if its possible for them to be used on my fit for the winter and avoid shelling out for new ones.

Can a 2015 fit use 195/55R16 Tires? (don't be too hard on me, I know almost nothing about cars, and less about tires)

Thanks!

I bet they'd fit just fine if you're on stock wheels and suspension. They're only another 5mm on the radius. Width shouldn't be an issue as people run 205 width tires. Not a dramatic difference.

For reference, input the sizing here: http://www.rimsntires.com/specspro.jsp

OEM 16" wheels are 6" wide and have a +53 offset.

^^ Agreed. You should be fine with running 195/55R16s on your factory wheels... assuming that the car is completely stock or factory otherwise. You may notice that the speedometer with be just a hair off but nothing drastic.

Linked below is a tire size comparison between the factory 185/55R16 and 195/55R16.

Yeah, EX-L with I think the default wheels. Will the place I go to get them put on know enough to put them on correctly and not tell me to get a different size you think?

Some places may or may not try to push the factory 185 size.

These should fit ok though... They're just a smidge wider by 10mm and taller by less than half an inch.

You won't really know until you ask them to mount the tires. Some shops will push back, some won't.
