Things I like to see/change in next generation Fit

Digital mph displayed in the speedometer gauge
Eliminate the "ambient meter" that changes from green to blue.
ODO permanently displayed at the bottom of the speedometer gauge
Display the oil life when the key is in position II.
Accurate average mpg calculation. Currently, it is optimistic by 2 to 2.5 mpg after 10+ gallons fuel consumption.
Unhide the TPMS button.

The ODO and the oil life are displayed only when you scroll through the "Information Display" gauge.

I agree with all of the above!

A Sport model with the 1.5t drivetrain from the Civic plus the suggestions above would have us buying one.

I actually prefer the analog speedo. It seems weird to drive by a civic and see how fast they are going.

I'd trade that whole list from the OP, for the 1.5T engine and 6 speed with the right gearing.

I like most of those suggestions.

However, I kind of like the ambient meter light on the dash.

* better carpet - what we have now is embarrassingly cheap.

* real temperature gauge, not an icon that disappears

* variable intermittent windshield wipers

* optional armrest

In the addition to above, how about some more color options for the interior. Slightly better sound insulation. Better infotainment system.

I haven't been happy with the indirect TPMS system. Which on my Fit seems to give me false indications on any long highway drive.

I also upgraded to some pretty expensive BOSCH wiper blades, and nearly HAVE to use Rain-X to keep the wipers from chattering. With the OEM blades it was not tenable.

Like nearly everyone...I ignore the fact that the Fit Carpet looks organically grown like a poorly watered CHIA pet.

And I personally think Honda should just make the cargo cover standard.

And while I've adjusted...and I hate to admit it, kind of enjoy the extra elbow room, the center console ( jokingly called an armrest ) is far too low. Poor design.

None of these things are deal breakers. Just the inevitable lack of perfection you get to some degree with nearly any vehicle.

And come on?
Nobody LIKES the ambient color change dash light?
I do...adds some life to the dash especially at night.

I sorta, kinda, maybe, like it.

Hypermilers will probably appreciate it. In the old days, when I was trying to squeeze out every mpg, I used the light to stay in the green zone as much as possible.

Now, we still want the Fit to be relatively affordable in its class. I see some wishes would make it cost more in its subcompact class, which the Fit is not the lowest in cost even today.

Yes, the floor covering is cheap, does not isolate sound very well, but, hey, it's an all weather material. Those who live in the wet snow area should appreciate it.

A little more horsepower and torque, real A/C, thinner A-pillars. That's it, I'm very happy.

I would like Honda to change the way they sell their options. We have 3-4 levels of Fit, then pick the colour and that is it? I would have spent more for various options available on the other levels.

They have so many options in Japan but not North America.

We need a Fit Si option. I'll buy one!

The GTI is a better driving car, but a nice Honda feeling/lightweight Fit with some HP would be fun!
