Clicking/ticking sound near dashboard when braking.

So I just noticed this, not sure if it's always done this and I've just never noticed or if it's a new thing.

When I've been applying the brakes, a tick/click sound comes from around the dash. The brakes themselves feel normal.

It seems to happen when I pump the brakes in Park BUT it also happens randomly when I'm braking while driving.

Video:

Any thoughts?

Actually as I put my ear to it, the ticks seem to come from the shifter.

Edit: Okay when parked, tick comes from shifter. While driving tick comes from actual brake it seems.

It should be the mechanical release for the shifter to control whether you can shift in and out of park.
