Has anyone tried 5-Lug HRV Swap?
As the title states. Has anyone experimented with the interchange ability of the HRV parts with the GK chassis?
I know the GK chassis uses the same chassis so it could be very compatible. I wonder if the disk brakes would swap over as well.I have found 5 lug conversions for the GE platform. I wonder if these will work as well. FIT 2nd 5LUG CONVERSION KIT USDM SPORT https://www.fitfreak.net/forums/gaug...n-hubs-ge.html I did look into the part diagrams and a lot of pieces seem to match up. Little off topic, but the AWD rear subframe looks like it could be compatible as well, but I don't know what transmission would take it. |
There are not really any benefits to a five lug setup in Fit sizing.

Lol that is specific, yes. I believe you could probably swap them, but you better not take the word of some random guy on the internet. Check parts numbers of pieces that look like they should be the same. If they are, and there are enough of those touching the part you want to swap out, and any info you can find on dimensions or bolt sizes match, then it is a good guess it'll work. Rear discs would be a benefit, but typical swaps like that need a new brake proportioning valve and you'll be the first to discover what else needs to be addressed. The benefit, should you do this, is that your car will stand out as unique during the shows you mention. Is it going to be easier or cheaper than swapping the entire car, that's your question there... |

Hubs from a junk yard cost a 400-600 dollars. So technically no it’s not cheaper to buy a cool old school show car that breaks down all the time lol. Been there many times. |
Why don't you just re-drill the stock hubs to 5x100? Any competent machine shop should be able to do it.

I meant swap in a whole HRV, not just some of the parts.
But if you are going to do all your work and the cost is only $600, then clearly you're right about the cost. |
