engine oil filter question

hey guys,

I am planning to have my engine oil and engine oil filter changed myself for the first time.

Before i buy all those, i just have couple of questions;

1. are all engine oil filter have same diameter? i know some of them are longer than others, but in terms of fitment, are they all the same?

2. what engine oil filter do you guys use other than Honda genuine oil filter?

Oil filters are car specific as there are certain threads on different makes/models. Surprisingly, the Fit uses the same oil filter as an Odyssey (our other vehicle). So if it's good enough to work on an engine that's more than double size, it should work well with the Fit.

I've only used the OEM filter, but recently tried the
Bosch 3323 Bosch 3323
. It was about the same size as the OEM and online reviews give it high marks.
