Engine knocking

I have recently heard a very faint engine knock when in 1st or 2nd gear at very low RPMs. Basically when I start from a stop or need to drive a few miles an hour.
I have been using Mobil gas 87 octane (I assumed that was top-tier)

Anyone have any idea what would be causing this on a brand new car with 2200 miles on it? Does this warrant a trip to the dealership?

Try a different gas station. I always run 89 Sunoco and have had zero knocking issues.

So you think it's my choice of gas?
Will 87 octane from a different station make a difference or do I have to go up a grade? I really don't want to go up a grade

Another thing just occurred to me...could this have something to do with the ignition coil recall? My car is not listed as one on the Honda website, but honestly I'm starting to wonder...

87 works fine for me. Are you hearing direct injection ticking, which is normal, and think it's knocking?

87 also works just fine for me. However, the direct injection ticking does seem to have gotten a bit louder over time.

To be honest I don't know what direct injection ticking sounds like...the sound is a very faint noise I've heard before when you're trying to get going in a manual and the car seems to feel like it's resisting. There is no jerking of the vehicle, just a faint knocking sound as if it is deciding if it will accelerate.

Who knows- with this soft clutch it may be that I'm letting it out a bit late.
I've never had any issues driving a manual before.

The direct injection ticking is just that, it's this light ticking sound. It sort of sounds like an engine that needs a valve adjustment. . . just a faint tick, tick, tick. I only hear it when I'm stopped with the engine at idle, however, once moving the ticking is inaudible. So it's more of a ticking sound and not a knocking sound.

Stethoscope on side of block down near oil pan... Fuel knocking will be loudest at the cylinder head, rod or real mechanical will be at the bottom of the engine.. Use a piece of 1/2 in dowel hold it to teh block use the stethoscope on the end of it.

Tired plugs and tight valves will often cause cars to knock easily.. Carbon buildup as well. A can of Seafoam in the fuel will often clean it out.

Try 91 octane. The honda fit if i recall correctly might be 11.5 to 1 comparison radio. More than 10 needs 91. You could put 87 or lower and the computer with do an ajusmet to stop knocking. It might stop it also try to add injection cleaner it is a little bottle like 7 dollars or so. Try for several days if not might be a injection problem or a fuel pump problem.
