Unhappy Phone not compatible, maybe

Just tried to pair my Samsung SGH-S275R non smart flip phone. Cannot get it to pair with the Handsfree or Bluetooth on my new 2015 EX. Even found instructions on Honda.ca for nearly identical model, followed it to no luck. Plan to check with the dealership Monday. The salesman even offered to show me how to set it up and I politely refused saying I should have no issues as I've done it before with my phone.

Any suggestions or advice? Thanks.

When the phone is in discovery mode, can the Fit "see" it?

Yes, the car can see it and the phone can sometimes see the car. Still doesn't matter as it still won't pair. Car apparently willing to, but phone not. Phone is successfully paired with my Bluetooth headset (when I turn it on to use it) so the phone Bluetooth does work. I wonder if the Bluetooth version on the phone is older and not compatible?

Solved

Not quite sure why, but it is solved. I had repeatedly tried to link it to no success. After successfully linking my IPad and another persons cell to the Fit, I linked mine. I deleted the saved pairing (not active) on the phone for my Bluetooth headset. Then presto, 1st shot after was successful. Is it possible my phone is so crappy that it won't even allow a device to be linked when one is already saved ready to pair?
