USB Adapter Cable For . . . ?

. . . this? I purchased an aftermarket head unit, and would like to make use of the center console's existing USB port in my '17 Fit EX. (The center console recession that contains a USB port and a HDMI port). The cable from said USB port terminates in this funky connector. Was wondering if there is a adapter cable that can attach to this connector on one end, and has a USB 2.0 male connector on the other end, so I can can connect it to my Kenwood head-unit.

I tried some connectors that fit between the OEM USB ports to my Kenwood head unit. Everything fits well. The problem was when I put in a USB, it got fried. Nothing was accessible on it.

I ended up getting a rare (in Canada) Kenwood - CA-U1EX USB Extension cables. After removing the front and centre console OEM usb ports, I managed to use thick nylon threading, and maybe a plastic shim to attach them.

When you pop off the oem usb assembly, you have just enough room to fit in a regular usb interface and there are 2 plastic "prongs" with holes.

So far no issues. I didn't want to keep buying adapters and USB cards so that I can continue to fry them.

My second choice would have been to use some generic USB extender on the Kenwood head unit and again put them into the OEM positions.

If you look at the design of the CA-U1EX, the shape allowed me to tie some thread around it into the OEM usb ports.

I'm sorry as this is one of the few times that I don't have pictures.
