OEK Fog Lights

8 Attachment(s)
So after the bulbs burned out so quickly and with the fitment issues I decided to go OEM on the fog lights. The wiring will remain the same. I couldn't get a straight answer from HondaPartsNow.com about whether they had the OE wiring. If anyone is willing to post some pics of how there fogs are wired I'd really appreciate it. Below are jut some photos of the unboxing and the part numbers.

New Ebay Lip

4 Attachment(s)
Bought this new lip from ebay and was able to use the existing holes from the previous lip. I wanted something that didn't extend out as far. For less than $40.00 it is pretty good quality and came with self tapping skrews and everything I needed. I did get frustrated with how to apply it and initially thought about cutting it to fit but after mocking it up using some of the parts it came with I didnt have to cut anything. For the price and effort I think this is a great option for the GK. Link is below. My only concern is something getting caught on it, especially after I lower the car. We shall see. If anyone has any links to better lips for under $150.00 plus shipping I'd appreciate it. The only other lip or lip accessories I have found that look worth while are from RHD Japan but they're expensive and shipping is brutal.

New black Konig Backbone Wheels

5 Attachment(s)
Finally got wheels. After a lot of researching I went with the Konig 15x6.5 +38 wheels. I never imagined having a six spoke wheel but these really did get it all done. I chose them because they're black, only 13 lbs, have the right size and offset to give me a tiny bit of poke in the front but can still use a very commonly found size tire. This is my first wheel purchase ever. I actually got the inspiration from Legend's build and he has the same size wheels but his are much prettier. I chose Discount Tire because I cant install myself at my apartment and Discount Tire has been really good to me and my family in the past. Right away I felt a difference, not only in handling but braking too. Probably because of the slightly wider contact patch versus the 6" oem steel wheels. Discount tire gave me a deal for $96 per wheel when normally they're $110.

OEM Fog Lights/Yellow Tin

6 Attachment(s)
Its a rainy day here in San Diego County so I took a moment to put yellow tint on the OEM fog lights. Here are some pictures and below is the link. For the price I'm pretty happy with the tint. Instructions said to clean then apply dry for domed lights and apply from the center outward using a circular motion with your finger. When I look closely I can see some sort of residue or fine bubbles on both lights rom the adhesive maybe but I suspect this will probably go away hopefully before I put them on the car. I went with the yellow tint sticker/laminate instead of the krylon spray on route because one of my aftermarket bulbs cracked from a rock and I'm hoping the sticker/laminate tint will maybe protect better or at least hold it together if it does crack.

Installed Yellow Tint/OEM Fog Lights

I don’t have the ability to lift the car and was by myself but I got it done. Thanks to the help of my compadre on the originally installed aftermarket fogs I had confidence and patience to do this on my own. Everything was plug and play but the only surprise was fitment. The plastic OEM bezels still didn’t feel 100% secure on one of the edge clips so i still used zip ties. Other than that it was all good.

Thanks! Do you plan to tint yours or did you find some blue colored aftermarket fogs?

Haven't really decided yet.
I might just do blue bulbs as I already have the OEM setup from factory.

I'm still working on the HFP suspension upgrade and TSB 16-088 getting done within the next couple of weeks.
..not to mention my amp install lol

Wow, that is a lot going on. Is the TSB 16-088 paid for by Honda?

considering the car is still under powertrain warranty until Oct 26, 2021 (and Hondacare until Oct 26, 2023) then yes.
It just has to make the noise as mentioned in the TSB after sitting 6-8 hours.
So far it's been pretty constant with the noise...and there's no record of it being done in the cars past (thankfully these issues are mentioned in previous posts/threads on this site)

Thanks I think I'm going to take care of mine because I do remember hearing that sound before. It hasn't been too consistent thankfully but better to take care of it now versus later.

Wheels look really great buddy! Flattered to offer some inspiration haha. I'm all about the compact look on the Fit :). The setup will really shine if/once you decide to lower it a little.

Fogs look fantastic; nice photo documentation too! I always hesitate with fogs since, from experience, they always get damaged quick and are a pain to replace. Nonetheless, looks awesome so congrats. You're lucky to work on your ride, looks fun and warm-ish... I had a snowstorm in my area recently -_-.

Thank you so much. Yea, you're right about them being a pain to replace. I saved the OEM solid plastic bezels just in case I get tired of the fogs for some reason. I really appreciate your build and your excellent documentation of everything. It's really helping me decide on the next steps. Cant wait for the affection spoiler to arrive, ETA is still mid February and I have a paint shop lined up for it. It will cost about $350 but after how much the spoiler was I definitely want to take care of my investment lol.

HKS Exhaust

Finally got an HKS exhaust. I feel like every part has a bit of worry lol.

Long story short, found this on ebay. Seller has about 97% positive rating which i know for ebay isn’t that great. I messaged them and confirmed twice this was an “open box” item or “not installed on a vehicle before” item. For $150.00 this seemed like a perfect opportunity. Bought it and it came in an HKS box that looked a bit beat up. Upon opening it the exhaust looked solid, it definitely wasn’t brand new or “open box”. It did have carbon or exhaust material on the inside of the pipe but had all of the original foam packaging and Japanese instructions included. Since I know very little about cars and can’t install this myself at my apartment I would have to get help from a friend but with covid I can’t simply go see them at any moment. Or I could go to a shop tk get it done in the matter of minutes but for a fee of course.

Call me impatient, over diligent, cheap, and or maybe all three lol. I thought I should find out sooner rather than later if this thing works or not. The fastest way to do that is have a local shop install. This way if they can’t install it or say there is something wrong with it I have time to return it.

So everything appears to be fine. Got it installed, drove home and i love how it sounds. My only concern is what kind of feedback i should leave for that seller. On one hand I got a great deal on a used exhaust that is in great condition. On the other they completely lied about the condition twice. Neutral or negative? If you’ve gotten this far into an exhaust update for my car I’d appreciate your opinion on that part of this i unnecessarily long story lol.

Good job on the Lip install! It looks very clean IMO. Did you use some kind of spacers for the middle part? I see two little cubes there.

Thank you! Yes, the lip came with those spacers. At first I didn’t want to use them but after mocking it up i realized they would work and look good. Below is the link for the seller on ebay:

Thanks for the link, i'm very tempted! Can you share some images from the bottom of the lip and how you secured it? Also, are you planning on lowering your fit?

Here you go! Yes, I bought RS-R Super Down Springs for the stock suspension but haven't put them on yet.
