Alternative tire sizes (185/55/16 vs. 185/65/15)
Hi all,
My 2016 Fit EX is running the original 185/55/16 wheel/tire combo with the stock all season tires.
I'm looking at purchasing 15" winter tires/wheels to save some money. The recommendation from a few websites was that I install 185/60/15 (the tire size from the Fit LX) however this would actually have a smaller overall tire height and would therefore mean more rotations/mile and I'm looking to keep the RPMs down on extended highway drives.
Has anyone installed 185/65/15 tires on their Fit? If so, are there any clearance/rubbing issues?
