Need help deciding on tire size for 15" wheels and summer tires.
I have a 2017 EX. I am going to get some 15" Konig Hypergrams. I have a second set of wheels and tires for winter so I want to get something more on the performance side for summer. I was thinking maybe 195/60/15 or maybe even some 205/55/15 since those would keep me close to the stock size. I just wanted to check here first since I know choosing a good tire size can make or break the amount of options available. I mostly do city driving so I am not too worried about MPG. I do plan on installing Swift springs down the road in case that is a factor. What tire size would you guys suggest?
What's your new rim width? A quick check of the Konig website suggests that the Hypergram 15 inch comes in 7.5, 8, or 8.5 inch widths.
A bit more Googling will show you recommended tire and wheel width combinations. Unless you want to do something extreme, I would stick with these ranges, in which case 195/60R15 tires would not be recommended (too much stretch) and 205 mm width tires barely squeak in as the minimum tire width for 7.5 inch width rims.
