When I got my fit EX, it had some sticky residue on the front rims, from which I assumed was from the plastic rap. I can get most of it off with my finger nail, but I have let it sit so long that it has collected black dirt on it and almost looks damaged. And now it is difficult to clean because it has gotten into the grooves.

Is there some cleaner I can use that wont damage the rim and yet still get rid of the sticky residue?
