Anyone running 205 wide tires and experiencing front suspension rub?
I recently put on a set of 205 tires on my stock EX rims. For the most part they're great and the car feels a lot more stable especially at fast highway speeds.
The only negative I have is when i hit a big bump like a pot hole you hear a terrible suspension clunk up in the front. I think it's hitting the the front struts on big dips. After inspecting the wheel well I can see the tire sits right below the front strut and only has about 2 inches of travel before it hits. I'm just seeing if anyone else had this experience. I really only had the car for 1k miles before i switched tires so i don't remember if it did that before but i do suspect the wider tires makes it more likely to rub. You probably wouldn't noticed this issue if you live in a state where theres good roads but in the North East it's hard to avoid some big holes.

I have 16x7 wheels, running 205/50R16 Continentals, and if I hit a big bump, will hear the front wheel making contact briefly. It's hitting the inner lip of the wheel well/fender right at the top – actually hitting the wheel well liner. Rolling the fenders would probably alleviate this. Or moving to a State with better roads.
Well, don't move here. The "vampire state" has let the roads deteriorate for the past 10 years. They're past the point of uncomfortable, and are now dangerous.

I wasn't sure if it was rubbing the fender lining or the strut. I may need to chalk it up to see where exactly its making contact.
NYC is the worst, right now it's summer time so the roads aren't too bad i might only rub once in a blue moon. But after it snows and the snow plows destroy the streets its going to be rough.

I just ordered some 205's and I'll get back to how they mount up. I do not anticipate any issues though.
