2015 Honda Fit / CVT replaced / Now can't turn off

I just picked up my car from the transmission shop. The CVT grenaded and they fixed it.

I get home and can't turn the car off. The engine shuts down, but the car is still running. I can't lock the car with the keyless entry button, and if you try to start the car with the key fob no where near the car, it starts right up.

It sounds like, when they reprogrammed the car for the new transmission, they wiped out the stuff for the keyfobs? Or something.

Any thoughts? I called them, and the guy was on the way out and said it didn't sound like anything they did. Which, I really don't belive.

So your electronics continue to run even with the engine off? Try disconnecting a battery cable, reconnect it, and see what happens.

Just tried that, same thing. Even had a hard time starting it because the battery is being drained.

I've left it disconnected now.

Sounds like BS. Take it back and have them look over their work. Something went wrong.

Why did it grenade in the first place?

If the battery drains and electronics continue to run with the engine off, a couple ideas:

1. There's a short somewhere that's leaking juice where it shouldn't be. Possibly caused by the CVT replacement if this wasn't an issue before. Fix the short, and hopefully everything goes back to normal.

2. The more ominous scenario - your ECM is fried and needs to be replaced. Also possibly caused by the CVT replacement.

Either way, I'd be asking them to resolve the issue and give you a nice, working car with a nice, working CVT.

There was a recall to reprogram the CVT for the '15's as the CVT's were breaking. Is this what happened to you?

No, according to Honda, my '15 fit, with a VIN number right in the middle of the VINs(beginning and end range is listed on the safety recall) that can have the issue, isn't part of the recall.

According the the transmission shop, the cvt grenaded, the belt broke and just went to shit. Rubber shit everywhere.

But... the weird fucking thing now..
it's working completely as expected.

I went to pull the car into the garage for the night, and... fucking normal.

So, are you telling us, the Fit was just tired? And, everything is OK now? You were in the twilight zone?

So...
it was solved.

I took it back to the shop, they fucked around with it, couldn't figure it out. They said "they reset the radio, that should probably fix it."

They weren't really getting the issue but they said it wasn't failing to turn off anymore either.

So I drove it home and parked and COULDN"T TURN THE FUCKER OFF.

So I started looking and playing. And I noticed, The lil button on the shifter wasn't down. I wiggled the shifter, the button popped down and the car turned off.

The fucking shifter needed to be adjusted. I took it back in there, they adjusted it and fixed it. Haven't had a problem since.

Is it common to assign the word fucker in St Louis when something is not going right? I see you used it to replace the word Fit, and the shifter.
fuck=verb
fucker=noun
