We can expect more dead people on Texas roads, thanks to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, who
last week banning red light cameras.

I think it's all up to the voters and the people of Texas. There obviously was enough support in Texas to advance it as a bill or their wouldn't be anything for the Governor to sign.

Also, banning Red Light Camera usage, is NOT endorsing or legalizing running red lights. It's still wrong and illegal to run red lights.
It would seem to me, that in the worst cases, people running a red light aren't cognitive about whether there is a camera or not.

I'd be interested if the number of red light crash fatalities does increase, or stay about the same.

Perfectly willing to leave it up to the people of Texas. If they've voted and the majority don't support the usage of red light cameras? So be it.

I think generally....a red light camera is more a tool of revenue creation in the form of fines, than what anyone should rely on as a tool that creates "safety". But that's just opinion, not fact that I can support in any manner.
