2015 Fit EX - iPhone and Song/Artist Display
Is there a reliable way/sequence of events to make sure that a saved-to-the-car iPhone connecting over bluetooth will always show the artist/song/podcast info on the car's screen?
I've had multiple iPhones and multiple versions of iOS and can't figure out how/why the artist/song/podcast info shows up on the screen sometimes and other times the phone is connected, but no artist/song/podcast info is shown.
This does not seem to matter if it is Apple Music, Spotify, Overcast, etc. Every time I start the car, it's a crap shoot if the info from the phone will display on the dash. But, it connects every time.

Most PC systems for music use metadata attached to the song file itself when displaying song information. (you can use programs like MusicBrainz Picard to find any missing info.)
When streaming, a song is broken up and delivered in small packets so that beginning parts can be played while later pieces are still being downloaded.
Since Honda systems do, in fact, have the capability to display this information (as evidenced by it appearing, albeit sporadically,) it's likely that the streaming service doesn't have the artist/album/etc. linked to their own file, or they don't send that info when streaming to conserve data.

Thanks for the responses. I will give the USB a try vs. the BT and see what happens.
@Excellector I see what you are saying, but my issue seems to be more of a random event. I could do the same thing on my end and get different results each time. Meaning, I jump in the car, turn it on, phone auto-connects via BT, I start anything (podcast, Spotify, saved to phone music, etc.) and sometimes I'll get all the info on my dash and other times nothing at all.
I have not tried, but I could have BT off on my phone, power on the car, then flip on BT and see if that allows the data on the screen every time.
I'm looking for a repeatable sequence that guarantees the info on the display each and every time.
