Brake Pad/shoe recommendationd

I have owned my Honda Fit for two and a half years. I bought it with 400 miles on it and now it has about 53000 miles on it. I have never touched the brakes (about 70% of the miles are freeway driving).
This car is a 6-speed manual and I enjoy driving spiritedly.
1) what front pads and rear shoes (if needed) do you recommend?
2) If needed can the rotors be machined?
3) Are there any Special do's and don'ts when doing a brake job on a Honda Fit? I'm thinking about doing it myself. It's been years since I've done a brake job and that was on an old car.

The fit has the typical front brake setup that all my Japanese vehicles have had. If you are familiar with older car brakes, then the Fit should be okay for you, at least for the front's. I haven't replaced any of the rear drums/pads yet.

I went with this for the fronts :
Amazon Amazon

Since you are in the US, you might be able to find a better package for the entire system, rather than just the fronts.

I also did a Ford DOT3 fluid flush. I'm old school and when I did track days, I loved that fluid b/c my cars were also daily drivers. However you might be content with other compatible brake fluid.

So...what did you go with? I'm ready to do the front brakes on my 2016 Fit with 79,xxx miles. I don't foresee any problems. Is there anything I should be aware of?
