Maintenance in Canada

Hey guys!
I have a fit 2009 automatic base model 210 000km in Montreal, Canada. I'm looking for advice. I'd like to know what sort of maintenance I should be expecting in the future. Here's what I've done so far in the last two years.
Oils changes
4 new breaks, break oil change
New battery
New rear struts
New front anti-roll bar
serpentine belt
New wiper blades and one wiper arm that broke.
I'm having a hard time with rust in the trunk door handle.
My mechanic doesn't want to do any transmission oil change, he says it's too risky at this age: it's never been changed before, what do you think?
Any other liquids or parts I should change?
will I have to change the spark plugs and/or the coil pack soon?
Do you think it's gonna be an issue to have an alignment, since it's old and rusty? I don't know when and if it has ever been done. I bought the car used 3 years ago.
I'll soon have to address a few rusty spots on the body also ...
Other comments and suggestions?
thanks

Your transmission should be flushed every 36k miles. "Too risky" is a load of horse shit. The rear trunk handle does rust, new ones are pretty simple to install. Plugs and coils and a valve lash adjustment should be done at 100k miles. The Fit tends to hold an alignment well. Mine has been spot on for 11 years, but I also havent hit anything. Coolant probably needs changing, the Honda OEM stuff is good, corrosion inhibitors in the OEM stuff.

Would you have a suggestion as to where and which sparks and coils to buy? Rock auto parts? Is there something cheaper and as good as oem?
Should I try to change the transmission oil myself? Not a complete flush but the partial thing.
Thanks again

I bought my coils and plugs on Amazon, they were marginally cheaper than Rock Auto, and had quicker shipping. Bought OEM Denso's for $100 or so, another $12 for plugs but I bought those local because the difference in price was tiny.

You could absolutely DIY your own oil change, but I'm speaking for the manual. The auto has a transmission fluid filter that is a little more involved to swap but still diy. I don't know the specifics but there's a few threads here detailing it. The manual has an internal filter that's for the life of the transmission.

Hello again,
This is all very strange. I called an other garage and they said they do not recommend an oil change at this age. And they wouldn't do the small transmission oil change anyways, they say they do a complete flush or nothing, " otherwise it's not worth it".
Then I called the dealer and they said for the small oil change they would charge CAD$100, they would still recommend it, however they do not do flushes, they do not recommend.
Everbody says different!

Drain and fill the transmission, not a flush. Have no idea why anybody fears an oil change. That's easy.

Baffling to see a mechanic turn down an easy job. Needs oil changes regularly or you'll buy transmissions regularly

Also Canadian, rear handle for sure. Mine barely moves now. Keep an eye on the axle shafts, another Honda fit problem I see on the forums. They rust like crazy, never kind here in Canada. Mine are pretty bad atm

Going on 11 years here. I have followed Honda not dealer for recommended fluid changes. Oil and filter when hits 15% on minder or once a year which ever comes first. Brake fluid every 3 yrs. Tranny fluid is a drain of about 1 litre each time. It would take three changes like this to exchange all the fluid but my service guy(at Honda) says this one litre is fine. I have had no problems.

Only other maintenance has been one set of rotors and pads and a few wiper blades.

WD40 on the hatch handle once or twice a year.

I had it undercoated when new and again last year. No rust.
