I recently traded in my 2011 Fit for another car. It had a good run.
I did not include the platform I made for it when I traded it in. Since I often transport 3 small dogs (total about 50 lbs), I made this platform for them to be able to see out the window from the cargo area and have room for gear underneath. It is made of good quality 1/2" plywood with all-weather carpet stapled to it. 50lbs distributed is about the max you would want to load on it since it bends a bit with that much, but you could add a brace in the middle if you need to support heavy loads. It is contoured and held up only by the interior structure of the car and you need to have one or both of the rear seats raised so it's not wobbly, or you can clamp the platform to the metal loop rear seat supports on the sides to use it without a seat back to steady it. You have to have both seats down to install it, and it's a bit of a puzzle to angle it into place, but you can figure it out.
Anyway, I live in Marietta in East Cobb by Sandy Plains and Shallowford. If you want it and can come pick it up, please email turf AT mindspring DOT com and I will send you the address and leave it out for you to pick up for a specified time frame.
What a cool idea. My small dogs could really benefit from some thing like this, especially on long trips. Do you have any more pictures? I don't think I can buy yours, but it's very inspiring.

Note that this is free. I am trying to give it away since I don't want to throw it in the garbage and I no longer have a need for it.
