Winter is coming!! and im a little nervous.
Hello FitFreaks I got a question whats some good snow tires for a 2009 Honda Fit Sport I live in Minnesota so the winters here are brutal and I just got this fit this year in the spring time right after the snow all melted so i haven't drove it in winter conditions yet. But a I did notice that my honda fit seems to hydro plane alot in raining conditions so I am a little anxious about this winter any good recommandations would help thanks.
I agree with glasswave. Blizzaks are more or less the gold standard when it comes to snow tires but realistically if you buy any name brand snow tire it's better in the winter than a good all season tire. Just having a snow tire compound and tread pattern is a huge leg up.
I've had positive experiences with Sumitoyo Ice Edge tires and I currently run them on my Fit. If you get snow tires I would recommend trying to find another set of wheels to put them on because you don't want to run snow tires during the summer. For your Fit most 15" or 16" wheels will fit so you could get a cheap set of steel rims and put snow tires on them -- infact you can probably already find a set of wheels with snow tires already installed on facebook marketplace or craigslist.
