Here from Vancouver Canada , I picked up a 2008. Color is Storm Silver Metallic.(I assume GD3?) Sport model 5 speed manual with 200k km. I’m absolutely in love. Lots of maintenance done within the last couple years. This is what he said had been done + proof. It has LED lights upgrade all the way around. Its super clean and well maintained to my knowledge. Two owner car. No accidents.
-Serpentine belt & clutch replaced at 150k
-Front brakes & rotors replaced at 195k
-Air filter & cabin filter replaced at 200k
-Oil change (synthetic) & filter done at 200kDriving the car it felt mint. Needs tires but expected. Transmission and clutch are perfect. Alignment and suspension seem decent. Drives straight and absorbs bumps with ease.
Is there any recommendations on things i should cover as this will be my new daily driver. I was thinking spark plugs, air filter , wheels + tires, door and trunk weather seals, check ball joints and, full detail interior/ exterior.
Service interval for valve adjustments on the GD Fit is every 60k miles (100k km). So, if you don't see that in the records, it is at twice the limit. Spark plugs get done at the same time.
For spark plugs, only use Denso or NGK Iridium plugs and you'll be good.
Been doing lots of reading on here. Planning on cleaning it up this weekend and taking the wheels off to inspect. I will post my findings and issues I might find! I’ll look into the valve check, should be simple ?
The car runs amazing I just did a 2 hour commute (1 hour both ways ).

Not really
It's not super compelx but it's really imporatnt to get the clearences correct, and there are other things that could go wrong. Broken coils, cross-threaded plugs, leaks, etc. I haven't bothered doing mine yet because of this. But I don't mean to be a downer, check out this video and go for it if you'd like!
Edit: Also your photo answers one of the questions I had, which is why the North Ameriacan cars were longer than the European ones. Your rear bumper is way thicc
