Researching this swap. Pretty much out of reach price wise using new factory parts. Everything should be available aftermarket though except the backing plates, need to find a UK vendor that will ship to US. Looks like the only parts that may possibly be sourced in US are calipers/pads. Looking to keep it under $1k total. If I pull it off will post with details, part numbers, and prices.

The only question I have not been able to answer definitively is are the disc hubs needed or can drum hubs be reused?

 

You for sure not finding a complete JDM RS rear disc swap for under $1,000. lol

 

Plan is to use all aftermarket parts sourced out of the UK, like hitting up your local O'Reillys but with shipping. Just from a quick search looks like everything is available including ebrake cables and flex lines easily less than half factory prices. If hubs aren't needed think I can get pretty close.

 

The rear disc conversion Spoon sells for the GK5 doesn't come with hubs, so I think you'll be fine going the route your going.

I just checked the Spoon USA site and that item is not available anymore. You can contact them and see if they can still source it. It was all Honda OEM parts from a Fit RS with Spoon brake pads. I wanna say it was a bit pricey at $1300 give or take.
