I know this is a long shot and some may groan that this is overkill, but I would love to enlist the help of a Fitfreak in Vermont to participate in the creation of an OEM-looking phone mount.
There is a company called Course Motorsports that makes Direct Fit phone mounts, but not for any Honda Fit as of yet. You may have seen some of their ads on Facebook. I was hoping to get one of these for myself, as I hate sticky on the dashboard that doesn't last and smears or vent options that always overheat the phone and feel crappy. I sent them an email with pictures and all for a great mounting spot, but they said that they need a Honda Fit on site to measure, etc. in person. Unfortunately, I live on the other side of the country and won't get there anytime soon.
