Any opinion on which looks better on Fit? I believe the Grey comes on Base model and Black on Sport. I need to swap mine out. Thanks.
Depends on the color of the car and personal preference.
Chrome seems to go well against some high impact colors like Blue Raspberry, Orange Revolution, and even Orange Burst (despite not being the factory correct light housing). Same goes with darker colors such as Black Berry Pearl, Midnight Plum, Night Hawk Black and Polished Metal Metallic.
Black housings tend to tone down the front of the car (in my honest opinion). Taffeta White, Storm and Alabaster Silvers look good with them. Even Milano Red and Blue Raspberry work well with black housings as well. Darker examples like Polished Metal and Crystal Black... The lights are more stubble and blend in.

There is chrome housing for the pre-face models, and black housing for the facelift models.
Errr... 33150-TK6-A01 (Left Base Headlight) & 33100-TK6-A01 (Right Base Headlight) for 2009 to 2013MYs. Both are a matte gray... You are right about the Sport housings though.
On eBay, there are other variations of colors on the Honda Fit headlights. One of them is called Iron Grey, which look interesting. My guess is that the polycarbonate lens have some sort of tint to them, so they sort of tone down the chrome reflector bowl inside the headlights. Have a bit of a stealthy look to them. Might possibly reduce light output on the road though. Here's a picture of them:
Nice. I got a 2013 Base White Fit. It comes with the grey housing. Just wondering if black might look better on it.
I’ll always be on the camp that chrome housing looks terrible for any headlight. Black or gun metal housing would look great if you are planning to DIY
