Screeching after start

I know a lot of questions on here about various noises at start up, this one seems different than the ticking or grinding ones I've read through. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
It's sporadic but a loud screech and occurs right after when it sounds like the starter completes its initial crank. Kinda tough to hear in the video (a lot more pronounced in person). Belt is fairly worn, will be replacing that tomorrow.

100% starter motor. Specifically the solenoid meant to extend and retract the starter motor gear. It gets slow and sticky with age, after a while it doesn't retract fast enough and grinds against the flywheel.

Time for a new starter motor. If money is an issue you can ignore it for a while but one day it might stick on or off. Better to replace it before it strands you.

My starter has been doing this for years whenever the weather gets cold. Doesn't seem to be a death sentence for the starter though. There's a lot of folks like me that have had that starter grind for years with no problems. Ymmv
