New Fit owner. Birthday Feb 16th 2007

Out with the old:
2003 Subaru Impreza WRX Stage 2 (285hp) (280tq)

In with the new
2007 Honda Fit Sport

I'm from Van Nuys California and I have been an rabid Suby fan but gas/insurance and practility took the best of me so here I am.

I plan on getting Eibach Pro-kit and whatever suspension parts to make it handle like a dream while still keeping the ride comfortable (no coilovers or extreme drop) I've been reading the forum for a few days now. Looks like there is alot of valuable information here.
I don't plan on adding any power gaining modifications since I doubt it will ever come close to what I have ad before but I love the stock handling but it could be better. I plan on doing some autocrossing in the distance future.
I am an avid gamer and I am usually online playing Gears of War or Halo 2. My gamertag is DeathtollWRX. I married and have a three year old daughter.

Congrats on the new ride Sorry you had to lose the Suby, but I think you made a good move. Gas is gonna go up again in price and you'll start realizing soon how much $$ you're saving over what it cost for the hot rod. Not to mention insurance costs will go down, etc. Enjoy the car and I hope it lasts you for a long time.

whats up dude!

dang van nuys is close. like rcantu said hit up the Krispy Kreme meet next week. theres plenty out there for handling...first would be some slightly wider rims (at least a lower offset to push out the stance a bit and some better tires)

good luck with the build and auto-x.

Basically insurance went from 1200 every six months to 663 every six months.

Full tank went from $45 dollars every four days to $22 dollars every week

I do miss the 170 missing horses but the clutch/shifter feel almost make up for it.

Nice rides so far. I'm a huge hatchback guy and seeing all these cool sigs makes me happy.

I got so sick of the horsepower pissing contest I had to deal with on other forums. I got bored of reading about kill stories.

I might go to some meetings in the future when my schedule isn't so busy. Maybe get a mod in there first =D. I notice alot of the aftermarket goodies are cheaper then other cars i've owned.

I could probably search the forum but here's a quick question.

I want a 1.5 front 1.o drop in the rear but I want to make sure it's not soo much that I need camber adjustment but I also want to be able to hit the corners without my car tipping over so much. I've had Eibachs before but what are the key differences (besides pricing) between

Eibach
Tien
Skunk
H&R

I'm more concerned about reliabilty and handling over drop height but I'm guessing the lower drop gives me lower C.O.G
On the WRX once you drop it 1.5 in the front it still looks like a stock car since the stock WRX ride height has a three inch wheel gap.

I went from an '03 WRX...modded it then sold it and bought an '05 STi. Sold the STi and now I have the Fit. I loved my Scoobys, but the Fit is so much more practical and cost efficient. Personally I don't have the itch to mod this car. It's slow, but handles great and I just daily drive it.

I'm sure I'll do a few mods to it, but nothing too crazy.

You know I have had the fit a couple of weeks now and It's really impressing me more and more. Fuel efficiency is going up a bit and I was able to fit a Sumo (sumolounge.com) in the box with only the 60 of the 60/40 folding seat down. I had my wife and my daughter in the car and everything just "fit" right. I am very satisfied with my Fit and it truly deserves all the press accolades it has recieved.
I'm really thinking about getting the Eibach Pro-Kit. I was going with the Skunk2 until I read that it will blow our your rear struts/shocks. Any such luck with the Eibach Pro Kit? I forgot who said it would blow out your rears but it's the police officer guy from this site=D

edit
oh it was WAVE
