stereo upgrades

Just wondering what would be the best place to start to upgrade the stereo
on my 2005 Civic LX: new speakers, new in dash unit...? Looking to spend
less than $200.

Get a nice head unit first... alpine/pioneer are my fav in that price
range...

Speakers. That is where you will notice the most difference.
