IM SO MAD! (i h8 new cars)

lastnight i pulled into the driveway and open my door and it hits the trashcan first ding. today i go to look under the hood and admire how small my little engine that could is and the effin. hood dealy that holds it open slips falls and then the hood falls on top of that AND CLOSES THE HOOD DEALY BETWEEN THE BUMPER AND THE HOOD! dent so ding dent and then i go to the gas station and my effin car only got 27mpg for the first tank.
now i rationalize.
the first tank was all break in driving so my car h8z me for going 55 on the freeway for 10 min then up to 70 for 5 min then down to 65 for 10 min then up to 75 for 5 min then down back to 55 lol and the rest of it was city driving. so there is that problem taken care of. said ding from the trashcan is literally 1 mm and its in the door so you cant see it unless you look for it. and the dent from the dealy is 1 mm and you cant see it unless your looking for it. sooooooooooooooo in conclusion NOTHINGS WRONG AND I H8 MY EFFING NEW CAR. except for all the awsome shit it does .tonight my band played a show. and i fit my amp guitar stand 3 guitars. and still had enough room for another 3 guitars another amp and a few bags. so it seems to me that i got a new tour buss lol.

BTW congrats on the fit, you've been teasin us for a while about it. i feel ya on the stressin about the littlest things.
my first ding was a doozie!
i was parallel parking, backing up at like .25MPH when apparently a palm tree branch wedged between my rear bumper and wheel and flicked up (like a baseball bat) and DENTED, not dinged, my rear door. i was so pissed i left work (i had just started the day, too) and went to get an estimate from honda--$600! DAMNIT. the next week i got a chip in my front windshield and that was it for me. i put my two-weeks at that job because it was hurting my car too much.

Sorry to hear about the dings on the new Fit - I just about had a heart attack this morning. We had a major wind event here in my town and it was really strong. I ran down to KMart for some tissue paper to wrap up
gifts with and I'm walking to the store when out of the corner of my eye I see a buggy heading right towards my Fit - parked out on the back 4o. I did a fast run and caught it before it got to my car - somebody elses Jeep
had been slammed in the bumper by another buggy. I went into K Mart and told the girl in the returns counter they had buggies running wild on the lot and they may want to collect them. I would have been really upset if that buggy had rolled into my Fit because it was traveling at a pretty fast pace.

Guys,
my windshield drama got me going as well as hood dings and pits.
You will get over it! Eventually! LOL! All part of the ownership!
Overall benefits out-weight the drama.
Drive the wheels of it on frequent road trips and it all falls into place.
I'd rather have a pleasure of putting lot of miles on it than park it in the living room!
If I had an exotic sport car I would be tracking it! Darn thing is meant to be driven deep into triple digits! Folks that park them in their "showrooms" have no idea what they are missing! Hey different strokes for different folks! What ever makes them happy!

I feel ya man. I have been freakin' about all of the paint issues on my car. I am contemplating trading it in for a Acura TL, but I am sure it will pass and I will keep my Fit.

i've had my car since april with no dings/scratches at all...you need to be aware of your surroundings...

my first dents were golf ball sized hail dents all over the roof and other parts of the car.. 5 days after getting it..

I hate rock chips the most since they can lead to rust if they're deep enough, small dents can be popped back out fairly cheap and look good as new but rock chips.. blah.

Totally unneccesary, uneeded, and a waste of fuel... FYI

i got mixed reviews on how to break this thing in. so a lot of ppl said dont even bother with breaking it in because its done at honda before hand. and a lot of ppl said you have to break it in or youll regret it. so im just being cautious and if worse comes to worse i wasted a bit of gas. but no harm no foul.

Heh, I hear ya on those first few dings/flaws. With my 00 Si, the first day I had it, I put a tiny chip in the paint on the inside of the door with my keyring. The sinking feeling was so bad that I felt like returning the car. LOL Happens w/ just about every car I buy... after the first few, it's not a big deal, but the first one or two are always heartbreakers.
