2nd Gen Fit at the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon

Thought we better start a thread about all the cool Fit's that surely will be at the 2008 Tokyo Auto Salon. It's only a few weeks away. Autoblog just posted this story and click here to see the pics.

( IMHO, the stock RS interior looked better than this mess! I hope other tuners do this car justice! )

"The Tokyo Auto Salon is almost upon us, and as is the case each year, manufacturers have show cars ready for what is essentially the Japanese version of SEMA. Tuned and accessorized cars are the focus, and Honda has a few items ready to go. We'll start with the Fit Luxe'ster. This is what you get when you take a JDM Fit RS, throw on a set of 15" Modulos and wrap the seats, door panels, steering wheel, shift knob and a healthy portion of the IP in dark tan leather. For good measure, throw in a set of matching fabric mats. Of course, "Honda Fit" and "Luxury" are terms that are pretty much at odds with each other, but anything goes at the TAS."

That's actually not a 'tuned' Fit per se -- all of those parts, seat covers, etc. are Honda Access aftermarket parts. If you look at the JDM Honda Access Fit catalog you'll see all of that listed for sale to add to any Fit. That having been said, it does look like ass.

Don't like anything about it. i think they messed up the design. looks like a little minivan now. I'll be keeping my 08 for awhile i guess.

They look much better in stock RS form then looking like that. Everything they did to it was pretty much whack..

The blue and brown doesn't really mesh in my opinion. The rims are kinda...bleh as well. Would rather keep it stock than spend money to make it look uglier.

It's just like when we were looking at pictures of the previous Asian Generation Fit before it came stateside. I'm sure there's no to low chance of the leather interior, glass roof, navi or the digital temp controls making it to the North American model in a few years Yet alone the textured floor mats
