17" vs 16"
17" vs 16"
Hey everybody!
I'm kind of repeating myself here, which I'm sorry for but I'm in a little bit of a rush. I can't drive 'cuz somebody stole my rims and the insurance cash just came in. I'd like to place an order through Townfairtire sometime today or at the latest, by tomorrow.
My big issue is that I'm not sure if I really want 17's since Boston roads are such trash. I'd say I'm a careful driver, but there are roads out there that just make it impossible, then add snow, snowplows and lots of salt and sand to the mix. The big worry is damaging brand new rims for one, another would be problems with power.
I'm not as concerned with power since, you know... 109 hp. Not much starting off, anyway. Cornerning is something I really enjoy, though - so I was looking at 17's first off. This Fit is my first real new car that I'd like to dump lots of effort into, although realistically I don't have the cash or time to do most of what I'd like. I'd really appreciate any and all advice anybody feels like shooting my direction, as I'm honestly a little ignorant about rims.
Also, here's the original thread:

Here's the 17's (EVO5) I was looking at first:

Then the 16's (RS-6):

Whichever rims I'll end up getting will be black, too.
Thanks everybody!

im having the same problem15,16, or 17. if your lowered , i would like to see those 17 on your car, if your not lowered i would go 16, the 17 with 205 40 looks like crap without being lowered. just my opinion, do what you feel is your favorite, look at it like this, if somebody was giving away 2 new sets of wheels, and you could only have one, and you only had 2 seconds to choose, which one would you get? at least you have it narrowed down to 2, i still cant decide between 3 sizes and 3 styles.
id say 16 for you. even though i like 17's.
