I love the 07/08 body. But I need to know how long I have to buy/order my 2008. No offense but as a honda owner for years upon years, the 2009 looks bad compared to the 07/08.

When are the 09's expected to come out so I can make sure I make it in before they take over the lot?


Maybe with some modification, but this does not look as good as the first generation that was brought to the US. Its already being sold in Japan..

The current Fit appeared in the US in late March of 2007. Honda usually introduces their new models in October. I think you have plenty of time to put in your order for a 2008 Fit. I agree with you, from the photos I have seen of the 2009 version, I like the current version better. Personally, I don't like the styling of the new 2008 Accords or the 2007 Civics.

September is the launch for the 09 we are currently in the build out portion of the 08s. We don't have many scheduled to be here past mid August. Also typically certain colors may be dropped before others so I wouldn't wait to long if there is a certain color you want. You may also see thing like MT stopping production before AT. I regularly have customers wait to long and realize that they can't get the color/trim/tranny they want.

I am going this week to shop around and try and get the lowest price on a manual Sport. Nothing extra as cd player/ac are standard on them. Anything extra will be aftermarket, that is if I even decide to bring it out of stock state (will be tempting not to do a few tasteful things). Thanks everyone and if you have anything else to add, please do. I will be on this forum more often once I pick her up and will be able to share ideas with what I know to all of you.

 

The 09 doesnt look THAT bad, but I def like the 07/08 better. 09 looks to sit a little higher, which I think loses some of its sporty look. And the front vent window, which I think is kinda odd in the first place, they went and made bigger!

I am not worried about waiting for a little bit, so long as I spend what I want to spend, and get the color/model I want. I am not in need of a car asap, but will be later this summer when I either sell the other car or trade her in (won't get much, but who knows)

 

I forget which S.N. digit but you can be assured that if you buy an 08 and specify not 09 thats what you can get if you order by Sept 01. Thats allowing 3 months to get your Fit, about the time it takes to be manufactured and get here maximum.. After Jan 01 all Fits manufactured will be 09's. Theoretically you will find 08's on lots as late as February but don't count on it. Thats just luck.
And you may find with the gas crisis a lot of orders ahead of you already.
