2009 Sirius Radio?

I see on TSS.com that they currently have an adaptor to convert the XM to Sirius for Hondas.

With the merger I have no clue but the question is on the 2009 will I require an adaptor or will the radio be "Howard Stern" ready? It certainly would be nice not having the current suction cup Sportster 5 glued to the windshield.

The 09 Fit has not been confirmed to even have XM. The Nav on the Red 09 Fit shown at the New York Show does not have the "CD/ XM" button like on other Hondas with XM. It has "CD/ Aux" instead.

I am not going to mention the fact that Stern is a has been.

There is more to Sirius than Stern.

If your Fit has XM, you should be able to get the "best of Sirius" add on to your XM sub. It should cost $16.99/month for the sub total.

I'm on the SFN forum, and the consensus over there is, if you want MLB, that's the way to go. Drop your Sirius sub, and get XM Everything w/ Best if Sirius. That way you can get Howard and Baseball on one sub.

I got Sirius for Howard also, and let me say this. Howard is mailing it in, BethO is horsefaced radio death, Mel Karmazin should be hung, and Scott Greenstein has no clue how to program radio.

It's nice to be on a long drive and not have to go channel surfing.

Deep Tracks, Underground Garage, Lithium, and Raw Dog are my other go to channels.

Sorry for the Sirius tangent, at least I won't get banned (I hope) for refering to BethO's equine appearance here.

Edit to add -

Just checked here http://automobiles.honda.com/fit/specifications.aspx Doesn't mention anything about having XM on any of the models. Looks like you are stuck with the Sportster, at least it's a direct connect plug in to the aux port of the stereo, if you get the Fit Sport.

2009 Honda Fit's aren't equipped with satellite radio. Possibly future ones will with the possibility of adding the hardware and flashing the computer to be compatible for our models.

It doesn't work for the 09 Fit. If you have an Aux button, then you should be able to utilize a Sportster and plug it in from there.
