Drive Thru Car wash with Door Visors??
Has anyone with door visors been thru a car wash????
I have new door visors but a little chicken about going thru a car wash with them. I;m afraid it might break or damage it?

depends which ones you have. If they are the JDM or mugen ones yes they will be fine. If theyre the cheapy ebay ones then they will probably fall off. I use a brushless drive thru wash near my house. I recommend it if you dont wash it yourself.
Id suggest NEVER using a car wash with brushes.... like Chris said.
I go through touch frees a often. More so after rain.
Mine are still holding up fine. I have the Mugen ones.

Assuming you're talking about one of those drive through car wash places that are usually at gas stations, like chris said, the cheap-ies would prolly fall off.
I'd highly recomend washing your car yourself or taking it to a carwash where they do it by hand because, with or without visors, those drive through placed are bad for your paint.
*Edit* damn Ray, ur too fast... Well it's not u, my phone's just too slow... Stupid 1st yen iPhone...

I AM Ray is oh so right! Stay away from the auto wash if you can, they will only swirl your paint. The brush type car wash can ripe off parts if you have anything that is being held on with 3 M tape. I will never forget going through one with my old car and it riped the front license plate and holder completely off my car. I did not realize it until I got home and then a few days later when I was driving through town, the guy who Nick Nolte used to develop his character in Down and Out in Beverly Hills, had it attached to the front of his shopping cart that he lived out of on the streets of Charleston.

My S10 blazer had stick-on visors and a hood deflector and I took it to the carwash once or twice. I don't do car washes with brushes, aka evil swirl inducing devices, only brushless washes. The big problem I had was with the air dry at the end - it tore the hood deflector right off the hood. The visors survived.
Bottom line though - I don't take my cars to carwashes any more and I can guarantee my Fit won't go through one while I'm driving it. FWIW I have the JDM visors.

haha i can't wait until i get the JDM visors, a few more days, i've got the ones that just stick on and i wouldn't trust it.
i say take it to a pressure wash place where you use the wand and do it yourself. while washing make sure you keep your distance so you aren't blasting your paint especially taking care when washing the front of the car. wash it sometime around sunset and let it air dry so you don't have the sun beating down on a wet car to prevent some waterspots and pitting of the clear coat. this is only good for a quick wash.
wash it by hand if you can, separate sponges for wheels and paint and keep those free of debris while washing. always pre-rinse.. all of that good stuff..

i personally dont have access to wash the car by myself. i dont own a house, i rent...and also in oregon we pay for water(i dont know about other states)....
and i dont do a good job if i end up washing it by myself. i always see missed spots and etc.
are brushless car washes pretty rare? i have never seen them before..
