Some of the aftermarket ones have better warrantees than factory ones. I saw some special on SPEED or somethin that said the aftermarket company which I can't remember (i'm a lot of help) had such good fitment that they need less maintenence and had no leak issues. What would be badass would be a ragtop, like the whole front and rear seat area totally open top like old school bugs. Best thing next to a convertable. I personally wouldn't cut a hole in the roof of my fit

found a nice lookin one, and it auto-closes when it senses rain

Also, the front flips up like Subaru and Scion tC so it works as a wind deflector so you don't get the helicopter noise

I got sun/moon roof on my car. No leaks if installers are experienced. PM me if u have any questions

PS - mine is not a spoiler-type sunrood, its the inbuilt one and it gives ur car a clean OEM look.

Any info on the sunroof that does the flip thing? How much does it usually cost to get one put in?

Its a webasto TVS 900. It's supposed to be one of the best units available. Both the front and rear panels tilt up. You can tilt just the front, or both the front and rear panels where they both open in the rear, or you can memory set it, or auto one touch open. Plus you can program it to close when you turn the car off, or have it auto close with a rain sensor, and has a 3 year/36k mile warrantee on it.

TVS 900 Twin Vent Power Inbuilt Sunroof
it has different options, videos of it in action. Now I hella want one. one more dammed thing to add to the shopping list. Plus when it opens, it hides into the roof instead of poppin up like the spoiler style ones

my local installer [authorized btw] will do a spoiler style for 850 and inbuilt style for 1250. I found list of authorized installers on product page. can't recall name atm not sure if it was wabasto or not , but thinking its not.

installer said no worries at all with spoiler style for having problems . but inbuilt does have potential problems but only if your not careful and the drain hoses get clogged.

The drain tubes can easily get pinched if the installers are rushing. This happened in my buddies Lude. The tubes were pinched at the end and started running down the A-pillars and got into the components and crossovers and destroyed his brand new system. The drain tubes can get clogged, especially the ones with special drain tube ends (designed to prevent clogging) clog extra bad. If it has the special tips its actually best to cut them off and then flare the end of the tube. Lexus and Range Rovers both have special tips, and they always clog, and are kind of a bitch to fix. You can't hook up an air line and blow em out once they do clog because its stuck in the drain tube. The webasto's at least come with a warrantee, so if it does leak you don't have to pay to have it fixed
