(Selling) Price for a 2008 Fit--- Help me!

Hey all,
For personal reasons my wife and I are looking to sell our 08 fit. It is the sport edition, stock, and ONLY has 3600 miles on it. The only real blemish it has is a small scrape on the front from some DB backing into us (while in voting no less!).

We also put some Honda Fit (knock off) seat covers on it.

How much would you try to sell it for?? Oh, we are in Western PA.

Thanks.
FM

True, but most realize that kbb doesn't actually get it down. KBB puts it at 17,115. Which is strange as the sticker we bought it for was just under 17K.

I wanted to get some people's thoughts on this.

considering carmax had the 07 on sale earlier this year at 18.5K or watever,
there's nothing strange. it had 15k miles on it.

take your car to carmax and get a free appraisal.

Thanks. I'll check out carmax. Why are they listing for over sticker used with mileage on them?? Besides the fact that they are badass cars.

That's not a misprint...the Fits appreciated in value. My dad's 07 was also a little above what he paid for it.

Agreed. Someone here crashed their car and the insurance cut him a check for more than what he paid for. But then again I see Honda Fit's on Craigslist going for as low as $12K, so I'd say carmax is your best bet.

Sadly there is no carmax near us and it looks like you need to go in for an assessment... unless you know something I don't.

You could all (of course) tell you fit-covetting friends about this!!

I'd list it on autotrader.com and cars.com ($30 -45 ea) w/ lots pictures, detail it first obviously. Also check the 2 sites above and see what they go for in your area first.

Actually this month I found they are dropping in value (new body style out and way low gas prices)

I'd list it for around $15,500 and see what happens.

just my educated but humble $.02
