I sat in a fit 09 with one of these systems fitted. The quality was great, but it is not a brand name. $350 fitted. It can play everyhing, but GPS Optional. I think $50 extra.

Also, I come from BMW land where springs are rated by pounds. For example, my coilovers on the M Coupe are 450# front, 500# rear. How does a 'k' translate to #'s?

My friend has one fitted and it's awsome quality. I thought like you when I asked the brand name. But then what brand does Honda use. Probably from the same factory. Nearly all Honda parts are made in Thailand. And I admit many Honda parts are crap.

Actually, they are awsome. I had a set of Tanabe springs when I got the car and they sucked big time.

My BC coilovers hold the road firm, but not too hard. Nearly zero sway and body roll, they just float over rough roads like a hovercraft.

 

Nice. multiply your conversion by my poundage and I'm f-8.05k and r-8.95k on the BMW. I also have r-10.75k's that I use for autocross and the track. I'd imagine those coilovers would ride pretty smooth. You really can't beat coilovers. how much did you pay?

 

I am sorry, I don't drive a BMW, auto cross or race, but I do like to to have a bit of fun on the roads sometimes. They stick the car to the road like glue with great driving responce both in the city and on the freeway.

which model number? The bcec.com.tw site only has the previous gen coilovers listed on their fitment guide. They don't work on the new fits right?

I got in touch with BC Coilovers in Florida today. They said these are $1100 shipped to your door. I know nothing about this company, their products, quality, etc. I knew when I bought my TC Kline coilovers for my M Coupe I was getting quality Koni components. Any clue what these are?

 

i know a lot of subie and scion tC owners use em and they go LOW. super low. seem to be pretty reputable. im not sure BUT i heard theyre linked to D2 and Ksport and Function and Form LOL. i bet thats totally wrong though

Why don't you get TC Kline coilovers again if they have proven to be so good for your cars.

Cause they do BMW only. I'm looking for another reputible place to buy from. BC might be it, but I have to do my research as I did before with TC Kline. I think it's shady they don't disclose who makes their components. That should be something to boast about. I was told they make their own shocks and supply other suspension manufacturers. That sounds like a good thing tome, but again, I gotta do my research. I'm not saying they are bad, I'm saying I'm uninformed. Care to shed any light?

 

Suspension mods are a really gray area for me and just like you I did lots of research, too.

About 4 months ago, I installed a set of Tanabe NF210 springs and I hated them because the car swayed like a boat on the sea, even worse than with stock springs. I think because they are progresive springs and the spring rates were very low, F1.7k & R2.0k. I have since been told by Honda Tecnicians that stock springs are slightly stiffer than Tanabe's. Maybe Tanabe got the math wrong with this model.

I then looked into various coilovers and came across BC coilovers in a local magazine. It was a big gamble at nearly $1,000 fitted, but up to now I love them. I only hope they won't leak. Time will tell.

I feel ya man. I'd jump at the opportunity if they were a brand I'm more familiar with and the warranty was better. Koni and Bilstein will rebuild their shocks for you if they go bad. I was told there is only a 1 year warranty on these. 1 year and 10k miles on a suspension isn't enough time for something to go wrong. That doesn't make me feel warm and cozy. Not sure if I'm willing to risk a grand on them, especially when that's nearly 1/10th the cost of the entire car in my case.

Are you reusing the rear shock mounts and front strut hats from the original suspension or did these come with new ones?

 

Actually, with BC you get a 1 year warranty, but they don't repair, they replace the shock body. After 1 year it's about $120 per corner. There are also a few places in Thailand that repair Tein, HKS and others for $100 for 4 corners, but I am not sure how good. I will let you know how they have held out in 2 years.
