Any other East Coast Fits Pushing Snow

Well our first substantial snow fall of 2009 - we have about 4 to 5 inches on the ground now and expecting more tonight. I have waited to the last minute again and was counting on getting some Christmas shopping done today - hope it clears out by Sunday. Everyone stay safe - I'll post up some pictures when I venture outside.

same here i haven't even STARTED x-mas shopping. I also haven't even attempted to go outside. I got close to a foot of snow over here in NOVA, with snow still pouring down. They plowed the streets early this morning, but they're already covered and more. I don't think I'm stepping out till the snow stops coming down which probably wont be till sometime tomorrow. Be safe out there, i don't wanna see any "look what happend to my fit" threads lol

Cat, you lucky dog! or is that cat? I'm in the panhandle and we have a little over two feet of the white stuff to contend with! And my big ol 4X4 is broken (damned Chevy) And as a side note, the Nitto Neo Gen may be M+S rated but it IS NOT a snow tire! They suck badly in snow, rendering my little Fit rather helpless on our badly cleared roads. I'll try to get some pics up tomorrow so you can laugh at me...

The storm we had a few days ago I was out driving, or should I say plowing. I raised the car up about 1-1.5 inches and I could still here some thing under the car dragging across the snow, I could also tell the car was working a bit harder to get threw the snow.

What really sucked was the plows had hit a side road but not the othere way yet. So at 30mph I had to blast threw a wall of snow that was probable up to my front grille. I was worried I had damadged some thing, I dint. When I got to my destination I noticed my water temps where in the 200's. Got out and looked, my front bumper was PACKED with snow.

What was killing me was the frozen pile of slush in the road between the two tire tracks. It sounds like I ran over a dead body and am dragging it down the road! Thank God I have a monster truck for snow days...

Hey grtpumpkin - you better get that 4x4 fixed because we are in for it again this Saturday! Yikes! They said the mountains could see 6 inches or more - and it is suppose to snow every day next week. I washed up my car on Christmas Day and it has looked so nice and I have enjoyed driving in a clean car. So much for that when this stuff hits again - we are suppose to get 1 to 2 inches by Saturday night. Is it spring yet?
