CHP office tmr
CHP office tmr
so i am going to get my tint ticket sign off at the CHP office tomorrow..2 quick questions:
1. Can i leave my window visors on? are visors illegal? if so, can i just say the dealer installed it for me?
2. the front quarter windows are still tinted..but i should be ok? If the CHP officer bitches, can I show him this from the CA.Gov website?:
Can I put after-market tinting on the windows of my vehicle?
The main requirements for legal window tinting in California are:
Since it is the passenger and driver's side windows only, those quarter windows in the front should be ok since it isn't obstructing view from the driver's face?
also regarding the visor, i am paranoid becuase the law states "installed, affixed or applied"....
thanks

The main requirements for legal window tinting in California are:
- The windshield and front driver's side and passenger's side windows cannot receive any aftermarket tinting.
- If the rear window of a vehicle is tinted, the vehicle must have outside rearview mirrors on both sides.

not sure how modded your car is, but depending on the officer, they might also ask you to turn on your car if he/she sees you have an exhaust. there's a couple douche's at the alta dena location, and a VERY strict female officer at the west valley location on de soto that loves doing vehicle inspections.
yea, the chp is free, but if you're worried about them pointing out other mods and don't mind paying 10 bucks, try the temple city sheriff's office on las tunas. they're quite lenient.
oh, put ur front plate on too if you haven't yet, lol.
