I must have super-hearing: does anyone but me hear the gas sloshing around in the tank when stopping/starting/whatever? (2010 Fit Sport) I've had dozens of cars and trucks and vans. Never heard the gas splashing around. I don't mind so much, doesn't "bother" me, just strikes me as odd. It is the tank's proximity to the cabin? Do other cars' tanks have, I dunno, ribs or fins or features in the tank to stop the fluid movement...like a 'waveless' waterbed? Someone tell me they hear the gas too! :-)

 

o man, i have an 09 and i have many speed bumps where i live and when i lowered my car i hear it even more. annoying. Thought i was the only one.

 

Its normal, every Fit does it. The gas tank is located towards the front of the car, underneath the front seats. Thats why our rear seats are able to fold down flat.

 

That's normal because the gas tank is positioned under your seat, this is the same thing with the GD3's.

 

I guess being in a tiny bunker that took a direct hit by an enemy rocket was a blessing even if my ears are still ringing.... I couldn't even hear the engine running on mine until I had an axle back pipe with a 12" glass pack muffler put on it, no way I could hear sloshing.

 

You're not crazy, I hear the sloshing too. Not all the time, just randomly. But I figured out pretty early on it must be the gas tank.
