Is it true ?

hi, everyone, I am new here. And planning on buying a sport fit these few weeks. But I have told that the gas tank of the car is located right under driver's side? Is it true?

The gas tank is located under both front seats. That way you have space in the back for cargo and for the "Magic Seats" to fold down. Check out other cars that have the gas tank in the "normal" position and see how much space ir robbed out of the car. I beleive this setting is safer, since the gas tank is better protected. The only downside is that you don´t have room under the seats at the front....

Love the sense of humor on the Forum and the entertaining as well as helpful responses. Considering that the Fit is in short supply, everyone deserves a pat on the back for still encouraging people to buy the car. Honda should take note and reward us with a better supply of Fits!

THe FIt has been out since 2001 in the rest of the world, there has been no problems with the gas tank! THink of it that way! We are not getting a test pilot vehicle! We are getting a vehicle with years of real life testing already done!!

This is another reason why Honda doesn't offer heated seats for the Fit lol.

Again, (KABOOM)

Cheers
