FITF@CKED (roof racks owners beware)

so i was walking to my car saturday night to find my set of brand new 4 month old YAKIMA roof racks (which cost me a solid 5bills) were pried of the top of my roof while i was at work.

damage: 3 dents where racks were placed, several scratches includes roof, visors, and area where racks were. and my dignity..

FUCK! THIEVES!

so everyone with racks watch ur cars!! hope no one has to experience this..
and if the asshole who took my shit ever see this i just wanna say one thing..
FUCK YOU!

ps i had the yakima locks which were useless..

Yeah Roof Racks are not safe...people take that shit all the time. Ive had a handful of my xB friends have their racks stolen.

Make sure to report it to the police and check craiglists often!

That sucks man. Like the old saying goes, if the thief wants it bad enough, locks and alarms won't stop him. I had a nice set of Thule racks and locks on my Integra for a few years and no one ever touched them, or if they did, they clearly failed at trying to steal it. Hopefully the clowns that stole your racks die from something that takes a long and painful time.

damn... meestersteph had his racks stolen a little over a year ago in DTLA. he had locks on it just like you did, too -- he ended up parting out because of it. car thievery is just ridiculous. i bet those bastards wouldn't like their shit stolen .. i hope you find those guys.

anybody remember one of the OG fit owners who had the wheels stolen from his ep3 then found them on CL? he rolled up to the thief/seller's house 8 cars deep .. vigilante justice FTMFW

It may sound crazy but a car tarpt would prevent this from happening. Really less than 40 bucks at auto zone you can get one. I work at a mall my self, the area where i park is an area strictly for mall management and geuss what no theft, and i do put a car tarp on my car. Further one of my co-workers has had has car set up for repo, but the area where he parks makes the car difficult to spot! Its in the same area as mall management.

everyone with roof racks should just repaint them or have them engraved somehow, that way people won't want them or will have a tough time reconditioning them.. Ugh so retarded... Can't people refrain from touching other people's belongings??
