My friend Rod and I went to Gallipolis, Ohio yesterday to try our hand at some out of state shows. This city is so nice and the show was held in the city park with lots of shady spots. It was really hot but with the trees it helped some. I got to talk to 2 people who owned Fit had no idea about this web site or that the car could be taken to another place. One guy was really excited about the cargo tray and cargo cover that I had on the car. It was great to talk to Fit owners who loved their cars, both had GD3. I took a little photo shoot since the car was all cleaned up. Oh yes we won a trophy for Sport Compact/Imports. I want to go back and visit here again because it looked like such a nice city.











The Fit owners could not believe how good the car looks for being a 2007. I am biting the bullet and Eric has ordered the Megan exhaust for the car which should be in this week or next. I had been saving to do it and got a unexpected bonus from our bosses so I decided to go ahead. Can't wait to get the rusty looking mufller off and replaced with a stainless steel one -

Cool! I was born in Gallipolis 4 months before the bridge fell. Did you see the Mothman statue?

I'll be passing through Gallipolis and the Point on Saturday enroute to Belpre for my Grandmother's birthday party. We're staying the night in the Point or down in Southside, haven't decided which.

 

Hey that is great! Where is the statue at? We should try to get some Fits to come next year and have a mini-met while the show is going on - now that would be fun! I loved that old bandstand and how pretty the stores were on 2nd Avenue. Hope your Grandmother has a wonderful birthday and you have a great trip.

The Mothman statue is actually across the river in Point Pleasant near Gunn Park. I want to say it's around 2nd and main, but I could be wrong. In any case, the statue is 12 feet tall so it's hard to miss.
