Mugen floor mats

So I got Mugen floor mats for the holiday and im concerned about using them. I am curious if any other owners can testify to the duribility. Does the embroidery clean easily? How bad does the red soil? I realize this may seem ridiculous but I have an issue putting my dirty feet all over $170 cloth floor mats.

They were a gift ... and mugen was the theme of the ideas I gave the wife and family so yes, I got it because it's "mugen"

So... what are you going to do? Sell them? They're probably as good as any other mats. *shrug*

I can't see myself using them so ill probably just put them in when I sell the car or trade it in. I would still like to hear if anybody is using these mats and how they are holding up. My stock mats already have a completely matted down spot and the silver "fit" embroidery is tarnished after only 8 months with no snow or rain .

Yeah, my stock mats are of low quality for the most part. If the mugens feel pretty much the same way, but of a different design, similarly to the way their visors are just a different mold than the oem ones that cost much less, then they will probably wear about the same. All this stuff comes from the same factories a lot of the time. Just different embroidery. Having nicer carpeting in the Fit is really one of the only areas I see an obvious fault in with the car. That's without being picky at all. It's just true. Otherwise, sands the weird diesel noise from the valve lash, it's perfection on four wheels. haha

I figured they were proably cheap like the stock ones . On a side note of all the Mugen stuff I got the visors were the only ones that didnt have "Honda of America" stamped on the box, they were all made in japan though...

Mugen Mats - not very durable. I know from experience. My logos are peeling off the front mats, quite badly on the drivers side. Stupid of me to get them at all, but my dealer had none of the different mats on hand when I got my Fit so I decided since I had to wait for them - might as well get the "fancy" ones. Plus the Mugen colors are also the German flag colors and I liked their look. Probably getting Weathertech or something else - haven't really looked into the others that are available.

That's sad to know the Fit Mugen mats aren't very good. I saw some old Mugen mats for previous Hondas and they were quite nice. I'm getting the all weather ones though so the baby can't spill what he likes.

My 2009 Mugen mats started falling apart almost immediately. The stitched lettering might have been made for driving in socks. I like the look and color of them, but at that cost Mugen should fix them and replace those sold. They weren't cheap.

Man, this really bums me out. I loooooove the look of those mats and was looking forward to getting them this summer. I seriously doubt Mugen will redo them....

My mats are almost still new, I just put some cheap plastic one on top of the mugen ones & always remove them for auto-xing.

I have weathertech, for the winter. For the summer I wanted the mugens. I think I may still get them, since they'll only be used half the year.

I use the all weather rubber floor mats, same ones they sell at Honda Dealers. Work great, and clean up easy simple green and a brush and they are squeaky clean in less than 5mins, while I am detailing the rest of my car.

Fit OEM all weather mats are the way to go, for ease of cleaning. spray them with the hose and wipe them off like Fit4Spl said under 5 min and they are all squeaky clean!

I really like the style of the mugen mats. Im going to get a set but i'll just get some clear mats to put on top for everyday driving.
