DIY VIDEO: Replacing Beam Blade Wiper Inserts

A little thank you to the freaks out there.

I saw a few threads on how to change your beam blade wiper inserts so I went ahead and made a short 'how to video'.

TMNF: My rear blade was a conventional wiper blade. I just pulled the old one out and slid a new one in while it was all still attached to the car.

Hope the video for the front wipers was helpful.

I puzzled and puzzled on the wrong path, trying to disassemble the plastic cover for the shepherd's crook arm until I Googled "Honda Fit wiper refill replacement" and ran across your video. Nice for a first try! The only thing I might add is once you've pulled the rubber end back a bit, it helps to grab the backbone of the wiper insert with a small needle nose pliers to slide the insert out. Also might mention that both blades (at least on my 2007 Fit Sport) pull out towards the center of the windshield. Thanks for saving me grief and possibly damaging my factory wiper arm.

Glad you find the video helpful. I too was initially lost about how to change the inserts, assumed others were too, hence the video.

Great suggestion about the needle nose pliers!
