Can any one tell me how I can procure the metal guide strips for the wiper blade refills? I accidentally threw out the original blades without removing the metal strips first and now can not fully secure the refills.

I don't know if you drive a GD3 or GE8, but either way your best bet is probably buying a new set of blades (Honda Front Windshield Wiper Blades Fit - Bernardi Honda Parts and Accessories)... I don't think they will sell you the metal guides separately. Other than that you can check out a salvage yard or something.
