Gas type and Pressure gauge?

I out in 87..cheapest one but what are you guys all putting in the car and those who uses higheir grades.. do you notice better milage? Is it good to try diffferent grade to see if there's any improvement? I heard that you should stick to one and not change often..

I also want to test my psi and maybe increase it. i've read that 38 psi is the ideal number, is it correct? What kinda gauge and where can i get one? I was one at walmart with built in air pump for 20.. any advice on a good one? i want to get more than 27mpg on my Fit AT!

I do what the manual says; i put 87 octane in it.

Why do people think that other people know more about the car than the company who made it (honda)? I dont get this mentality. If the car ran better in any way with fuel other than 87 octance, the manual would say so.

Honda Accord V6 makes more power on 93 than 87, even though the manual says it only needs 87. This has been dyno proven on other boards.

If I recall, it was ~10HP. This is on the 244HP 3.0L Accord V6. You can search around vtec.net for more info on this.

This doesn't mean it will work on every engine, the ECU has to be coded to be able to take advantage of the higher octane and advance the timing. Otherwise, yes, 93 in a car that lists 87 as the required octane will do nothing. Only way to really answer this is for someone to dyno their car stock w/ 87 and then again w/ 93 after the ECU has had time to adapt.
