2007 Fit Sport recommendation

Hello,

I'm currently looking at a private seller that is asking 9995$ for clean '07 Fit sport MT with 71 000 kilometers (44 117 miles). I've offered him 9000$ but he didn't accept.

I find that even 9000$ is on the high side for a '07 car however this one has relatively low mileage and has eibach lowering springs (which I will replace with the included stock springs for better clearance in winter driving), nicely tinted rear windows, center console and remote start (which again is nice in the winter).

The seller is willing to sell at 9500$, should I go ahead and pull the trigger? I'm thinking with some clazzios and a throttle controller I'd have a pretty sweet ride!

I live in Victoria, British Columbia, and 2007 Fit Sports in good condition are selling for $14,000. $9,995 is cheap.

Thanks for the reply dustinb! I'll be calling the seller this week and I'll try and include pics ASAP (as soon as purchased)! Seller is also including steelies and winter tires. Honestly, I can't imagine why someone would by from a dealer (aside from possibly getting an extended warranty).

BTW my brother Jonathan lives right at the foot of Mount Doug. Last time I visited him, I got a chance to check out Butchart gardens, Lucky Bar and the Bard and Banker pub. I really enjoy Victoria, it's a nice town. Also, I'm a guitarist and you have some nice vintage guitar shops around town. Cheers.

recomendation for sport fiit reply

Maybe they will meet you with the cost of the springs. The snow clearence is a legitament issue. On the flip side you sound like you like the car so if you havent already negotiated price perhaps they would meet you at half way. that would be $9250. $ 500 isnt enough money to loose a purchase of a good fair car

actually, the seller told me he still has the OEM springs which I presume he will include in the sale. I have to bring my car to my mechanic to put on the winter tires/rims anyway so I can probably get him to swap in the original springs and include it in the price of the hour of labour he'll charge me. The car is about an hour's drive away but I guess the trouble is little compared to owning a sweet new ride!

You hit the nail on the head with the 9250$, that was going to be my counteroffer. I'll keep you posted if I end up buying the car and I'll post pictures.

BTW, the white GD sport in your sig is looking sweet

K20typS. I'd love to but you do live 10 hours drive away! Anyway, send me pics if you want.
