Civic Wheels on an 08 Fit?
Civic Wheels on an 08 Fit?
After a day of autocross and shredding my street tires, I'm looking to pick up some cheap wheels I can put some better tires on for future autocross. Right now I have the 16" HFP wheels, so I'd like to stay at 16's but going back to 15" would be fine too (to stay in "street" category). There are a ton of junked Civics (not many Fits) around here, probably everywhere, where I can get wheels cheap but which ones would Fit? I'm looking to just have ones I can switch out without any other mods..
You are looking for OEM Honda alloy wheels? Best place to look is Craigslist, they don't last long in junkyards, get picked pretty fast. You'd be surprised how much OEM wheels go for these days, you're almost better off just getting a cheap set of aftermarket wheels.
Alternatively you could get 14" steel wheels for next to nothing, but the widths leave something to be desired. Most of the Civics in the junkyards probably still have these on them.
Pretty much any Civic or Integra wheel will fit fine. You can also look for OEM Mini Cooper wheels which often go for cheap on Craigslist. I've seen as cheap as $150 for a set of four 15" alloys. They are the same hub bore and lug pattern as Honda and offsets are fine. E30 BMW wheels work too, I see those in junkyards all the time.
