I want to lease a Fit
I want to lease a Fit
I am very interested in leasing a new fit. I want a manual sport in any color. I was wondering if you guys could tell me what I would be looking to pay for a four year lease and how long I should expect to wait for my fit to come in.
Thanks

I was told not to wait for a fit lease car. meaning, they are selling all they can make, and have no plans at the moment to lease them. usually lease cars are ones that dont readily sell, or manufacturers have an oversupply.
You can lease any car, But the current Fit and Civic have no incentives so you might as well purchase the car I looked at both ways and the purchase was only 10 dollars more a month. But after 4 years i would owe less than what the residual would have been. You can do what you want but for me i will just purchase the car.
Too difficult to get a Fit to buy, let alone lease. We leased a Yaris for my daughter. She wanted a Fit, but couldn't keep waiting. Don't know if we'll keep the Yaris at the end of the 3 years, or turn it in and get a Fit then. She found that she really loves the Yaris, so we'll see.
We got a good deal on a 3 year lease for the Yaris, with no prepayment penalty if we decide to buy it outright before the lease is up. My daughter's school is across the country, so we may not want to haul the car home and instead just turn it in. Our circumstances are a little unusual -- lousy used car market where she is and the lease is cheaper than renting. If she really wants to keep it, we'll buy it and I'll help her drive it home.
I was thinking about leasing the Fit. There are quite a few around now at the "stealerships." For the time being it seems much more affordable than trying to finance the Fit. Plus, who knows where I'll be in 3 years. I understand many people think it's a waste of money to lease a car, but for a college kid who needs low monthly payments (and is dying for a Fit) it seems like the only solution.
Be really thorough when you research leasing. If you drive a lot and exceed the allotted mileage, it can cost a lot of extra money. We wanted to lease the Fit for my daughter, but settled for the Yaris -- no Fits anywhere at the time. The dealers are also notorious for charging extra for every little scratch and ding when you turn a leased car back in, and from my own experience with my Fit, they happen! Keep in mind that the Fit and Hondas in general hold their resale value, so you may be able to sell it at a good price if you buy it outright. Leasing generally requires a good credit rating, just the same as if you were financing to buy, which can be tough for students with little or no credit history. One advantage I could see for a student -- if you want to keep the car at the end of the lease, hopefully you'll have graduated and have a job to help pay for the buyout cost. Whichever way you go, good luck! Hope you can find the right Fit.

As far as Cali dealer ships go I doubt they will least any FIT currently. It is semi rare to more then 1 fit at a dealer. I have seen a few base models but never more than one sport. The day I bought mine they had just gotten the sport and if I decided not to buy it they had another guy waiting for me to sign the paperwork since he wanted the same FIT but came an hour after me.
If we were to start seeing a lease program on the FIT I would think it would be on the base model.

leasing you a fit, or selling you a fit, we make almost the same amount.
we dont care if you lease or finance.
a 4/48k lease, with least amount of driveoff, you'd be looking at around 200 a month, give of take, assuming top notch credit.

Has your dealership leased a FIT to someone then?
